Chris was born on Jan. 8, 1970 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC while Carl was stationed at Fort Myer, VA. He moved with his parents to Duluth, MN when he was 7 mo. old and lived there until he was 3. The family moved again in 1973 (this time to Gainesville, Florida after a summer trip to Europe). He attended J. J. Finley Elementary School, Fort Clarke Middle School, graduated from Buchholz High School, and received an AA from Santa Fe Community College in 1991. He played youth soccer, and was on the soccer and track teams in high school. He also played drums in both his middle school and high school bands, and joined a rock band while still in high school. The group underwent personnel and name changes over the years, and became a Contemporary Christian band in 1994. They played throughout the United States and Canada as well as in England and Australia. They recorded and produced a CD of original material, which is available at www.crosscutonline.com. Chris underwent a successful bone marrow transplant for aplastic anemia in 1993 and on Feb. 19, 1994 he married Tammy Lynn Cash, a Gainesville native, and the sister of a band member. Tammy received an AS degree in respiratory therapy from SFCC in 1991. She is currently doing extremely well as a territory manager for Kos Pharmaceuticals. Chris started an entertainment booking agency in 2001 (www.eliteservicesintl.com), which has since expanded to provide motivational speakers, production and meeting planning services, in addition to bands. He “retired” from his band in 2002. Chris & Tammy have one child, Brendan Christopher, born Sept. 16, 1999.
